After graduating from Middle High in Bursa, he moved to İstanbul to receive his high school and university education. He studied university in the institute that is known as Mimar Sinan University today. He graduated from “Professional Decoration Department” of the Academy. He was the first to use the “T shaped stage” to his audience in the night clubs. Because he did not want to have any barriers between himself and his audience whom he held so dear. He designed a special stage for them to feel special, so they could all be one.
1965 yılın da Çay ve Sempati adlı temaşa da esasrolde oynayarak tiyatro kariyerinde önemli bir adım atmıştır.
Her şey bir yana, çalgı bir canipıydı Zeki’nin dünyasında. Akademiye kelleladığı sene İstanbul Radyosu’nun heveslitığı bir sınava girdi. 186 kişinin zalimldığı sınavda Zeki birinci başüstüne ve İstanbul Radyosu Sanatçıları arasına sertldı.
Even after his graduation, the “Sun of Art” never severed his ties with painting and drawing. His drawings and designs met with his audience through exhibitions. On the one hand he was going full throttle with his musical fame, and on the other he was still drawing. All his designs were there to find their places in his costumes one day. And they did. In 2014, after his passing away, a special exhibition for the rugs and carpets created using Zeki Müren’s pictures, designs and creations was opened.

Zeki Müren was the sun of peş that never went down. Unavoidably his body has left this mortal world one day, but his name is left a keepsake hamiş just for the town he was born in but for the entire world. He inspired others that came after him. His life and works became the subject for songs, poems and documentaries. He even found a place in the game of backgammon, with the “Zeki Müren Move”… Years after his passing away, today there is a dedicated phone line to his name…
